The Tidewater Lock is a dam in Washington, D.C. to the west of the mouth of Rock Creek at the Potomac River, on the east side of Georgetown. It is sometimes listed as Lock 0 on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. On historical canal documents, this is listed as "Tide Lock A". Canal Documents sometimes list a "Tide Lock B" on section "I" which stood at the lockhouse at 17th and Constitution Ave NW. It was completed in 1834.〔Unrau P, 213 〕 ==Gallery== image:Tidewater_lock,_downstream_(outlet)_gate_pocket_detail.jpg|View of downstream gate pocket where the canal joins the Potomac river Image:Tidewater_lock_waste_weir_remains_(Rock_Creek)_at_end_of_Chesapeake_and_Ohio_Canal.jpg|Look at ruins of the waste weir, which adjoins the Tidewater lock. image:Tidewater_lock_with_Watergate.jpg|Tidewater lock, with the notorious Watergate Complex in the background 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Tidewater Lock」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
